Abstract

This Study deals with the conflicts in Darfur and their impact on Chadian-Sudanese relations in the period from 2003 to 2021. The study attempts to discuss a pivotal question: What are the factors that negatively or positively affected Chadian-Sudanese relations? It discusses a basic hypothesis, which is that tribal conflicts in Darfur are among the most important causes that have affected, in one way or another, the relations between the two countries. The study provides a historical overview of the relations between the two countries and also reviews the causes and dimensions of the conflict in Darfur through the regional and international role in the conflict. In Darfur, with a focus on the neighboring countries: Libya, Chad, and Central Africa, in addition to the problem of border security between Chad and Sudan and the agreements concluded between the two countries to solve the problem.
