The reality of the phenomenon of the spread and abuse of narcotics in Palestinian society during the Corona pandemic

Abstract

This study aims to know the reality of the phenomenon of the spread and abuse of drugs in Palestinian society during the Corona pandemic, and the problem of the study is summarized in the main question, which is “What is the impact of the Corona pandemic on the phenomenon of drug abuse in Palestinian society?” Drugs in Palestinian society during the Corona pandemic, in terms of the definition of drugs and abuse and the presentation of the causes that lead to the spread of drugs, and the impact of the Corona pandemic on the phenomenon of drug abuse. The study is divided into two sections: The first topic: the definition of drugs, the definition of abuse, and the causes of the spread of drug abuse, the second topic: the impact of the Corona pandemic on the phenomenon of drug abuse globally and locally. The study concluded with a set of results, including: that the spread of drug abuse in the Palestinian society is due to multiple reasons, and many external and internal factors contribute to the spread of the scourge of drugs among the members of the Palestinian society, and that the Corona pandemic cast a shadow on the phenomenon of abuse in terms of the high rate of drug abusers globally and locally, And for many reasons.

Among the most important recommendations: the need to mobilize and encourage the energies of society in order to play a more effective role in the prevention and control of this scourge, and the official authorities must solve all the problems and causes that help in the spread of the phenomenon of abuse, and state agencies must play their role in reducing the effects of the Corona pandemic on individuals Society in all aspects of life, especially in the phenomenon of drug abuse.
