Abstract

The sciences of the Arab Muslims did not come from study, consideration and research only, but they added to it their own experiences and their entry into these scientific fields and their discovery of new scientific theories and visions. Nations evolve through cultural cross-fertilization and hierarchical construction according to the civilized theory.


Among the most important Kufan ​​scholars who emerged and were pioneers in the field of agricultural and plant sciences is Ibn Wahshiya, the Chaldean Nabataean scholar pen symbols.


In view of the importance of our scientific heritage and the necessity of studying the original historical texts and knowing the products of their authors and their Islamic eras and what they classified and transmitted in translation, addition and updating, our research came entitled Watering Methods among the Arabs (a study in the book “The Nabataean Ways of Agriculture”), and the research included an introduction and three topics, namely: The first topic: Ibn Wahshiya (His name and his scientific works), and the second topic came: The Book of Nabataean Agriculture by Ibn Wahshiyya, and the third topic: Watering Methods among the Arabs (a study in the Book of Nabataean Agriculture), and then the conclusion and a list of sources and references.
