Sudanese Linguistic Content on the Internet (An Evaluation Study on Sudanese University Websites in 2016)ˆ

Abstract
The question: (Has the rapid progress of communications in Sudan during the last two decades served the Arabic linguistics content?) was the motivation for this research, which took the linguistic content aspect as its subject, and its main problem is about evaluating the reality of linguistic content on the internet and ways to improve it. The subjected concept of linguistic content is Arabic language sciences, arts, and research in its field on the internet. The objectives of the research include clarifying the forms of linguistic content, evaluating them on the websites of Sudanese universities, and anticipating the future of Sudanese linguistic content on the internet. The research adopted the descriptive survey approach as a way to collect and analyze data, extract results, and anticipate the future, in a field that it defined as the websites of Sudanese universities which classified in the (Webometrics) ranking in July 2016, regarding to ten elements of the intended linguistic content, Including publishing, education, literature and its criticism, and linguistic interaction. The research began by stating the research terms in the preface, and a chapter on Arabic content on the internet and efforts to develop it, followed by the applied chapter, on the linguistic content on the websites of Sudanese universities, digitizing elements by using a questionnaire to measure, analyze them, then a prospective chapter foreseeing the future. Among the results of the research is that the indicators of reality in Sudanese universities indicate the weakness of the linguistic content in all of these universities except one that can be considered above average, and that the universities interesting of university rankings, in its current state, guide to negative impact, and the researcher recommended amending it to become positive, and empower paths for the welling future, through the procedures he proposed, and he also recommended making the elements on which the linguistic content was detailed a criterion for it, and developing the loyalty and the Arabic linguistic sense among those in charge of the websites of Sudanese universities through policies, guidance and training.
