Employing the Visual Thinking Strategy to Adress Weakness in the Geometry Unit of Fifth Grade Students

Abstract

The study aimed to employ the visual thinking strategy in addressing weakness in the engineering unit among fifth-grade students. Study tool: An achievement test in the engineering unit that includes Bloom’s three levels. Study Approach: The researcher followed the experimental method. Study population: Fifth grade students at Mustafa Hafez Primary Boys School (A), numbering 117 students. The study sample: The study sample includes 21 students who did not pass the achievement/diagnostic test in the engineering unit. Study recommendations: The study recommends using the visual thinking strategy in teaching geometry because it has a positive impact on students’ achievement, and providing educational means that help to develop visual thinking skills among fifth grade students.
