Public Policies during the reign of Imam Ali by Malik al-Ashtar

Abstract

The research presents a vision of the terms and details of the reign of Imam Ali to Malik Al-Ashtar, and the focus was on the contents of public policies and ways to employ them to serve the state and solve the outstanding problems that society suffers from or those related to the advancement of the general reality of the state. The pillars of the interaction between the superior and the subordinate have been established in a manner that is consistent with the law of God Almighty, and on this basis Imam Ali came upon his assumption of the caliphate to continue the approach of the Messenger, and in the subject of the research was indicated the importance of public policies and the means for their success and the method of implementation. The contents and objectives of Imam Ali were also explained during his reign to his minister, Malik Al-Ashtar, after he appointed him over Egypt and gave him all the keys to dealing with the subjects and how to run the state, and above all, he instructed him to protect and tame the soul from greed, to discipline it, and to rule with justice among people, and that power does not last and care for the poor, also focused on the most important strengths and weaknesses in the administration of the state and how to make its work successful.
