The Role of Strategic Management in Human Resources Development and Employee Performance: A Case Study of Universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract
This study attempted to examine main role of strategic Management on human resources development and employees’ performance. A case study of some private Saudi Universities. Study problem consisted on that the level of employee performance at some Saudi universities still below expectations may be due to negative impact of strategic management on human resources development and employee's performance. The aim of this study was to examine role of strategic management on human resources development and employee performance. The significance of this study drawn from subject importance itself in which this study can provide considerable recommendations that can help decision makers and policy formulators at Saudi universities. However, this study has adopted both analytical descriptive and historical approach in addition to case study method. This study has tested these hypotheses: There is a statistical correlation between strategic management and employee performance. There is a statistical correlation between strategic management and human resources development. There is a statistical correlation between employee performance and human resources development. Moreover, this study has reached some findings and recommendations such as: there is appositive role of strategic management on employee performance. The evaluation of employee performance face lack of information and systems. Based on the results this study suggested: Saudi Universities must pay more concentration on role of strategic management on human resources development and employee performance.
