The crime of terrorism according the role of the provisions of public international law

Abstract
The study dealt with the nature of terrorism in international humanitarian law. The researcher used the legal approach, so the study was an extrapolation of some legal texts, a simplified presentation of the definition of international terrorism at the level of Arab and Western jurisprudence, and a statement of the most important international agreements that contributed to its development the definition, as well as the factors of international terrorism that constitute the motivation for the commission of terrorist crimes and their historical development. And we dealt with the nature of terrorist acts and distinguishing international terrorism from some similar terms. The most important of which is popular resistance and the right to legitimate self-defense. And a statement of the most prominent differences between them, and we referred to the international efforts within the framework of the global systems. The most important of which is the international Interpol and the United Nations and their great role through historical stations to reduce terrorist crimes. At the end of the study, we reached many results, the most important of which is that the definition problem will remain, despite the efforts made to combat it, until a comprehensive and specific definition is developed without any political considerations, and we work to criminalize terrorism in national legislation in accordance with international agreements
