Abstract

This study is concerned with knowing the Andalusian poetic heritage. This is done by identifying their substantive interests and knowing their most important intellectual contributions with regard to poetic creativity. The critical and literary lesson was that the Andalusians expanded poetry on some poetic purposes, created new topics that they paid attention to, and excelled in showing their features, such as nature poetry. However, it is an open secret to the researcher that this purpose has its roots deep in the depths of Arab poetic creativity since pre-Islamic times. Therefore, the problem of this research was formed in an attempt to answer the main question: What are the most important poetic contributions of Andalusian poets? Did they innovate the poetic themes? Or did they just imitate? In order to solve this problem, I relied on the inductive and analytical approach, which is concerned with extrapolating the phenomenon, knowing its evidence, and analyzing it objectively to determine the truth about Andalusian poetic creativity, by comparing tradition and innovation. This was done through specific elements that I considered appropriate for editing this research, as I divided it into three sections. The first section in which I talked about Andalusian poetry between tradition and innovation. The second section I devoted to the art of elegy in Andalusian poetry and its types. The third section touched on the arts of nature and description in Andalusian poetry. I ended the research with a conclusion and sources and references.
