Aggregate demand and its impact on the domestic resource gap (An applied study on the Palestinian economy for the period (1994-2018)

Abstract
The study problem centered on the effect of aggregate demand on the domestic resource gap in the Palestinian economy and analyzing the relationship between them, It aimed to identify the size of the total demand in the Palestinian economy, to identify the size of the domestic resource gap in the Palestinian economy, to measure the effect of the components of the aggregate demand and to measure the degree of its connection with the domestic resource gap in the Palestinian economy.
The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach to the phenomena and variables related to the subject of the study, in addition to the standard approach to measure the effect of the components of aggregate demand on the domestic resource gap and measure the degree of its correlation with the domestic resource gap in the Palestinian economy.
The study found a long-term complementary relationship between the domestic resource gap and the components of aggregate demand (final consumption, both private and government, investment, and net exports). This result is consistent with the reality of the development of the negative resource gap in Palestine, which was affected by the low savings rates during the period under study.
