Abstract

the Palestinian presence in Lebanon was not willed, but rather was an injustice that forced thousands of Palestinians to emigrate because of an international conspiracy that expelled them from their land and made them refugees, and that the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples face a common enemy that threatens their security and stability. The Israeli reaction to Beirut airport was a strong factor in increasing opposition to the guerrilla operations originating from Lebanon and the armed Palestinian presence in Lebanon, and that the Palestinian situation has become very complicated after the bloody clashes between the Lebanese army and the Palestinian guerrillas, Subsequently, Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser sent on October 12, 1969, a letter to Lebanese President Charles Helou about stopping the armed clash between the Lebanese army and Palestinian organizations. From the Lebanese border with Palestine, the study reached several results, the most important of which was the inclusion of the position of the Lebanese national parties and forces and the Lebanese Parliament by approving the Cairo Agreement, The Palestinian-Lebanese relations were characterized by stability and calm after the Cairo Agreement and the two sides' keenness on coexistence and overcoming obstacles.
