Abstract
The fact that the French protectorate was imposed on Morocco at the beginning of the second decade of the twentieth century had a significant impact on the structure of the law, mainly due to the new legal texts and decisions enacted by the protection authorities in the form of noon and ministerial decisions in order to tighten their control over many areas, including The field of water, so we aim from this study, to stand on the most important laws and decisions issued by the protection authorities in order to control water resources in Morocco, relying on French documents in the National Archives in Rabat and other references that briefed us on data on the subject by following an analytical approach that enabled us to come up with several The most important results are the important role played by the lateral legislative action in order to put the French protection authorities in control of the water resources in Morocco and to legitimize it
