The comparison between the capital budget criteria in the site selection decision: an exploratory study of the opinions of a sample of managers of the North Refineries Company - Baiji Refinery

Abstract

Site selection decisions are strategic decisions that deserve research and study in order to know the factors that are related to the influencing of site selection. Given the importance of the location of oil refineries from the economic, financial, political and social aspects, the subject of the study was chosen to shed light on (the trade-off between capital budget criteria in the decision to choose a site) The problem of the study was identified in the importance of revealing the extent of the use of financial criteria in choosing the site, and the study was applied in an important field of the economy, namely the oil sector, as an exploratory study for the opinions of a sample of managers of the North Refineries Company - Baiji Refinery. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, five were formulated Hypotheses for the purpose of testing them on a sample consisting of (30) managers at different administrative levels, and in order to obtain data and information related to the study variables, personal interviews were adopted as well as a questionnaire to obtain them.
