Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the relationship between the quality of life and social support among a sample of the visually impaired in the Sultanate of Oman and to identify the level of social support and the quality of life among the sample members. Females studying at the Omar Bin Al-Khattab Institute for the Blind in the Sultanate of Oman.

The results of the study revealed that the total score for the level of quality of life and social support for a sample of the visually impaired was high, and there is a positive correlation with statistical significance between social support and quality of life for the sample members. It is also possible through social support to predict the quality of life for the sample members. The study recommended Spreading awareness of the importance of accepting the visually handicapped among the members of society as a person who has value and importance in life and is a productive element in society.
