Islamic education approach to the formation of intellectual awareness

Abstract
The study aimed at clarifying the conceptual framework of intellectual awareness, clarifying the Islamic education approach in dealing with manifestations of intellectual loss of awareness, and clarifying the role of educational institutions in the formation of intellectual awareness. To achieve this, the researcher followed the descriptive approach (based on induction and analysis), and the analytical approach; The deductive method. The study included three sections, as follows: The first topic: the conceptual framework of intellectual awareness, the second topic: the Islamic education curriculum in dealing with manifestations of intellectual loss of awareness, and the third topic: the role of educational institutions in the formation of intellectual awareness. The study resulted in a set of conclusions, the most important of which are: Intellectual awareness is defined as the awareness of individuals and groups of the reality of the Islamic approach and the deepening of perception in thought and behavior, and thus understanding the reality and advancing the movement of progress, witnesses and civilization of the nation. Among the manifestations of the loss of intellectual awareness is the lack of clarity of the intellectual methodology, the loss of effectiveness of the Muslim mind and the movements for change and reform, the lack of understanding of reality and contemporary challenges, and the absence of the effectiveness of educational and social institutions. In light of this, the researcher recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: to discuss the issue of intellectual awareness in the light of the Islamic heritage, and that researchers conduct specialized research in this regard.
