The perceptions of the students in Jordanian University of ' of the role of the media in instilling the values of tolerance and living in peace

Abstract

This study aimed to clarify the perceptions of the students of the University of Jordan for the role of the media in instilling the values of tolerance and living in peace. This study used the descriptive analytical approach, and the questionnaire was used as a tool for the study in order to obtain the necessary data for it. The sample of the study was (400) students from the studies Graduate students at the University of Jordan were selected according to the stratified random method, and the study used the statistical program (SPSS) in order to analyze the results of the study. The results of the study showed the significant and important role of the media in education for peace and tolerance from the point of view of graduate students at the University of Jordan. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the role of the media in education for peace and tolerance from the perspective of graduate students The study recommended the need to activate the role of the political administration, put the media under constant control, and punish outlaws and those aiming to spread the spirit of violence and terrorism.
