Teaching Sports Commentary in Morocco: Reality and Hope

Abstract

Through this research, we aim to reveal the presence of rhetoric in the language of sports commentary, and we focused on the rhetoric of inlay and some other rhetorical patterns. We also sought to provide some suggestions for teaching sports commentary for the benefit of learners, in light of new projects such as: the school radio project, as well as the audio games project or interactive games inside classrooms, which are new projects that need to be transferred from the theoretical to the practical side and invested didactically in the components of the Arabic language material. The research reached a set of results, the most prominent of which are: rhetoric plays its role in making the commentary rich, enjoyable and expressive of events; sports commentary can be taught through some of the proposed projects, as well as opening the door for young energies to specialize in the field of sports, especially sports commentary.
