The Veil in Western Countries: Between Religious Freedoms and Secular Codes

Abstract

The veil of the Muslim woman comes at the top of the political debates by considering it as a real menace for the secularism and rationalism of the west, so, the veil becomes a phobia for the west especially after the bleeding events of September 11th, 2001 which led to the rise of enemies against Islam and Muslim people and the main cause was the veil of the Muslim woman that was exposed to large campaigns of defamation which represent the other face of terrorism but she was the real doer. So, this study aimed at determining the campaign that the Muslim woman is exposed in Europe precisely in France and this through the reading and analysis of the law of prohibiting the religious symbols that target the veil at first. In order to reach the aim of the study, the researchers have used the descriptive and analytic method by showing the historical streams that embody the phenomenon under study, this study has resulted to some results and among them: The law of prohibiting the veil in west countries represents racism against Islam and Muslim people, and The attitude of the west countries towards the veil of the Muslim woman represents the embodiment the speech of the hate against Islam and Muslim people and this by governing and mastering the world politically, culturally and in the modern way.
