hairouch M'BAREK Regional and Local Curricula in the Moroccan Educational Curriculum : From Construction to Examination

Recently, issues related to curricula and educational programs have become a matter of interest for the ministry of education and researchers in the field of education, as well. This study aims to sheding light on the project of regional and local curricular that the directorate worked on in collaboration with the UNICEF oraganisation. This project is considered as a framework to implement decentralization and connect school to the surrounding at the regional level. This study depends on SWOT analysis to evaluate the project.
In conducting this study, two approaches are used : historical and descriptive analytic approaches. These two approaches attempt to induce project’s phases, its main steps and define the target competencies that learners should acquire. This study mentions two experiences. The one concerns The Regional Academy Marraekch Tensift Elhouz and the one concerns The regional Academy Laayoyn Saqiya Lhamra.
This study comes up with some suggestions and recommendations to establish local and regional specifities pedagogically and didactically.
