Who Is Ibn Khaldoun Journal for Studies and Research?

The Ibn Khaldoun Journal for Studies and Research is published by the Ibn Al-Arabi Center for Culture and Publishing, a center officially licensed by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture. Its temporary headquarters is located in Gaza City, while its permanent headquarters is under preparation. The Center is concerned with cultural activities for all age groups, the publication of electronic materials, and the promotion and support of scientific research.

The journal has obtained an international registration number for its print edition (P-ISSN: 2789-7834) and another for its electronic edition (E-ISSN: 2789-3359). It is managed by a specialized team of highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in academic writing, scientific research, and publishing. All members of the editorial team hold at least a doctoral degree in various fields within the humanities and social sciences.

The journal was established with the aim of supporting researchers in scientific publishing. It offers free research consultations to some authors, in addition to other research-related services for nominal fees.

Notes:

  • Authors receive a Peer Review Certificate prior to publication and a Publication Certificate after the issue is released. The journal also allows authors to request certificates or statements in English, or separate certificates/statements for each author, subject to additional nominal fees.
  • Authors may request officially signed and stamped hard copies of the peer review statement or publication certificate, provided that they cover the express postal fees. Multiple authors from the same country may share the same shipment.
  • The journal does not charge submission fees; publication fees apply only to manuscripts accepted through blind peer review.
  • These fees apply for the year 2026.

How Can One Join the Editorial Board?

Researchers may apply to join the reviewers’ board or the advisory board by submitting an official request. The journal does not accept membership applications from academics who do not hold a doctoral degree, and it gives preference to full professors for advisory board positions.

It should be noted that membership in the Editorial Board is granted exclusively by direct selection from the Board of Directors of the Ibn Al-Arabi Center for Culture and Publishing. Members must demonstrate academic competence, a strong professional reputation, and a distinguished research record.

What Are the Publication Dates?

Submissions are accepted throughout the year, and manuscripts may be submitted at any time. The journal issues one issue at the beginning of each month, i.e., twelve issues per year.

To ensure publication in the upcoming issue, manuscripts must be accepted before the 22nd of each month, provided that they meet the publication requirements. The journal does not publish any manuscript that has been under editorial consideration for less than seven days.

How Long Does the Peer Review Process Take?

The peer review process generally takes from one to seven days, depending on the availability of reviewers and the quality and readiness of the manuscript.

How Does the Journal Handle Complaints?
