Abstract

This research deals with the use of color in the poetry of the poet Mahdi al-Nuhairi, depending on the analytical descriptive research method, which is based on the questioning of color and its positions in al-Nuhairi poems, and an attempt to investigate poetic texts that carry the words of colors and clarify their connotations. The life of the poet, and a brief definition of the color language and terminology, then the background of the research, which is the main research material and in which the main colors and sub-colors, followed by a conclusion with the results of the research with a list of sources and references. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method, and the study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: The color represented an aesthetic image that blended with its poetic text. And the poet used the color visual technique as a tool in the production of the poetic creative text with perfect craftsmanship and artistry, so the painter was the poet and vice versa.
