Abstract

The new internal wars of the twenty-first century posed a real challenge to international peace and security. The United Nations was faced with a real test that alerted the development of the situation in many countries of the world, including the Arab States. This research aims to highlight the role of the United Nations in the settlement of internal disputes. One of the most striking points we have made is the need to find an alternative solution to the veto, which fails all United Nations resolutions because of the conflicting interests of the great Powers, and to develop new charters that limit new internal threats and ways to address them.
