Poetic Story: Aesthetic and Artistic Determinants - An Applied Analytical Study to INSEKAB (SPILLING) Collection by the Poet Ali Al-Sheemi

Abstract

The research examines poetic story and its aesthetic and artistic determinants. Acquiring its own characteristics that make it clearly distinguished from poetic narration and other poetic forms, poetic story is a new independent literary genre. It adopts a devised system in both form and tools. Thus, in introduction, poetic story is defined, its origin is traced, and its development is discussed. The first section probes characteristics of poetic story at the form and content levels. The second section studies the works of a poet of that genre through studying INSEKAB (SPILLING) collection by the storyteller and poet Ali Al-Sheemi.

Conclusion shows the most important findings at two levels: (1) poetic story in general with reference to the study theoretical core discussed both in the introduction and the first section; (2) the analytical applied core which is studying some stories of INSEKAB (SPILL) collection.
