The Contribution of Intellectual Capital to Achieving Competitive Advantage and its Impact on Sustainable Development: An Applied Study on Civil Society Organizations in the Gaza Strip

Abstract

This study aimed to identify The Contribution of Intellectual Capital to Achieving Competitive Advantage and its Impact on Sustainable Development in Civil Society Organizations in the Gaza Strip. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, and the actual study sample consisted of (380) employees of civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip. A questionnaire was used as the data collection tool. The most important findings of the study were: The level of intellectual capital in civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip had a relative weight of (78.502), indicating a high level of agreement. The level of competitive advantage in civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip had a relative weight of (64.747), indicating a moderate level of agreement. The level of sustainable development in civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip had a relative weight of (64.137), indicating a moderate level of agreement. A positive relationship exists between intellectual capital and competitive advantage in civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip. A positive relationship exists between intellectual capital and sustainable development in civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip. A positive relationship exists between competitive advantage and sustainable development in civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip. The study recommended several recommendations, including: Improving the organization's responsiveness to beneficiaries' needs by simplifying procedures and developing effective communication channels with them. Considering environmental aspects when implementing projects and achieving a long-term developmental impact through sustainable planning and periodic evaluation of results.
