Abstract

This study presents a evaluative, analytical, and critical scientific review of the book “Experiences of Interdisciplinary Studies Around the World and Mechanisms for Benefiting from Them in the Arab Region” (2025). It aims to analyze the book’s scientific content meticulously, with a focus on its methodological and theoretical foundations, and to assess the suitability of international multidisciplinary experiences for the Arab academic context. The study seeks to offer a comprehensive evaluation that highlights the book’s strengths, the dimensions of its impact, and its potential to guide scientific research and higher education in the Arab region toward greater interdisciplinary integration.

The study follows a descriptive, analytical, and critical approach, reviewing the book’s structure, evaluating its thematic coherence, examining its methodological accuracy, and exploring its practical significance in advancing multidisciplinary education. The analysis demonstrates that the book makes a tangible contribution to enriching Arab academic discourse by presenting international models and experiences that can inspire practical applications in Arab universities, while also pointing out some methodological and contextual limitations related to localization, institutional readiness, and the feasibility of implementing these experiences.

The study concludes with a set of recommendations aimed at promoting multidisciplinary studies in the region, including: integrating interdisciplinary studies into the long-term strategic plans of Arab universities to ensure systematic incorporation into educational and research processes; developing flexible research funding policies that encourage multidisciplinary projects, enabling collaboration across academic disciplines; and rehabilitating faculty members through specialized training programs to enhance their capacity to efficiently manage and guide multidisciplinary research, ensuring alignment with local and regional needs.

The study emphasizes the importance of this book as a scientific reference that contributes to creating a more interactive and integrated educational and research environment, and serves as a foundation for developing academic and research policies in the Arab world in line with contemporary international multidisciplinary practices.
