Abstract

 The research aimed to explain the relationship between the means of communication technology and the agricultural sector and the extent of their impact on agricultural production and productivity as one of the modern technologies that must be provided to ensure the achievement of agricultural development, As agricultural communication plays a major role in influencing rural society, The agricultural media carries a valuable content represented in its agricultural information programs, as it is generally concerned with directing scientific research information, agricultural news and institutional directives related to agricultural production and agricultural information materials to workers in the agricultural field, The most important results are that modern communications have a major role in influencing agricultural production and its development, and it faces major obstacles in Iraq represented by the weak use of these means by the relevant institutions, and the failure to update their programs to serve agricultural activity, in addition to the lack of computers and internet service and poor knowledge of them from before the peasants. As for the most important proposals, they were represented by an increased trend towards attention to and development of this technology, especially in relevant government institutions, and the holding of seminars and workshops to train farmers in the use of modern means of communication.
