The Effect of a Logotherapy Based Intervention Program on Reducing Suicidal Ideation among a Sample of Women in Mental Health Centers in Sana'a

Abstract
The study aimed to examine the effect of a therapeutic program based on logotherapy on reducing suicidal ideation among a sample of women in psychological treatment centers in Sana’a. The study employed a one-group quasi-experimental design, and the sample consisted of (10) women selected using purposive sampling. The study utilized the Suicidal Ideation Scale (developed by the researcher) and a logotherapy-based treatment program (developed by the researcher). The results revealed statistically significant differences between the pre-test and post-test measurements of suicidal ideation, while no statistically significant differences were found between the post-test and follow-up measurements conducted one month and three months after the intervention. The findings also indicated that the program was highly effective in significantly reducing the level of suicidal ideation after implementation, with a large effect size. The improvement among participants was maintained at the one-month and three-month follow-ups, indicating the sustained effectiveness of the program. The study recommends the provision of psychological support for women, especially during times of crises and wars, and the implementation of appropriate therapeutic programs to reduce suicidal ideation.
