The Nabataean Inscription of Ibn Yarhabula from the Eastern Desert of Egypt: A Descriptive Linguistic and Historical Study

This research is based on a careful reading of the Nabataean Arabic inscription belonging to (Ibn Yarhabola), with a careful analysis of its vocabulary compared to the Semitic vocabulary, and it reveals the conclusion of a lease contract for a building located in the Shaqafiya area adjacent to the town of Al-Tal Al-Kabir, east of the Nile Delta, to be used by the community priest Nabatiyya residing in the eastern desert of Egypt. This research concluded to reveal the Arabism of this inscription, and to stand on the close commercial relations between the Nabataean Arabs and the ancient Egyptians. He revealed the Gregorian date of the Nabataean-Egyptian commercial relations, which is the first century AD.
