      Abstract

      Since the beginning of the 20th century, the oasis of the city of Figuig, located in the far south of the eastern region of Morocco on the southeastern Moroccan-Algerian border, has witnessed a remarkable development in the phenomenon of migration. This article aims to study the relationship of migrants with their town through the establishment of associations in the diaspora in order to preserve their identity and strengthen kinship ties. In addition, belonging to the palace, preserving it and passing it on to future generations, through the establishment of local associations that work to integrate members of the community into the local fabric and create bridges of communication between young people by organizing local summer camps. The methodology of this work was based on the results of field studies, dialogues, and a survey of the opinions of immigrants and non-immigrants.
