ميشيل فوكو ومستقبل العلوم الإنسانية النقدية

الملخص

يُعيد هذا البحث النظر في فكرة ميشيل فوكو النقدية، مُجادلاً بأن أفكاره تُمثل تحدياً ونافذة لإعادة التفكير في مستقبل العلوم الإنسانية. في الواقع، يُقدم فوكو أسلوباً تحليلياً تاريخياً، حساساً للسلطة، وملتزماً بالأخلاق، يتجاوز نماذج النقد التنويرية القائمة على كل من العقلانية الكونية والمُثل المعيارية. وهكذا، يُظهر هذا البحث كيف يكشف منهجه الجينيالوجي عن العمليات العرضية للسلطة/المعرفة التي تُشكل الذاتية والحقيقة من خلال قراءة مُتأنية لكتابي "المراقبة والعقاب"، و"تاريخ الجنسانية"، و"ما هو النقد؟". كما يتناول البحث الصراعات في مشروع فوكو من خلال بعض التساؤلات: هل يُمكن لنقدٍ يتجاهل المعايير الأساسية أن يُحافظ على تأثيره السياسي؟ وكيف يُمكن للعلوم الإنسانية أن تتبنى هذا النهج دون أن تُصبح غير مُسيّسة أو تتبنى النسبية؟ باختصار، تُجادل هذه الدراسة بأن النهج الفوكوي لا يُقدم نموذجًا نقديًا قاطعًا فحسب، بل يُقدم ممارسةً مفتوحةً وتحويليةً تُمكّن العلوم الإنسانية من البقاء مُتأملةً في ذاتها ومُنخرطةً جذريًا في عصرٍ يشهد تحولاتٍ في القوة العالمية.

This research paper reexamines Michel Foucault’s idea of critique, contending that his thoughts offer a challenge as well as a window for rethinking the future of humanities. In fact, Foucault presents a historically situated, power-sensitive, and morally engaged mode of analysis that goes beyond enlightenment models of critique based both on universal reason and normative ideals.  Thus, this research paper shows how his genealogical method reveals the contingent operations of power/knowledge that shape subjectivity and truth through a close reading of Discipline and Punish, The History of Sexuality, and What is Critique?  The research paper also examines the conflicts in Foucault’s project: Is it possible for a critique that disregards fundamental standards to still have political impact? And how might humanities embrace this approach without becoming depoliticized or embracing relativism?  In a word, this research paper argues that a Foucauldian approach does not only provide a definitive model of critique but rather an open, transformative practice that allows humanities to remain both self-reflexive and radically engaged in an era of shifting global power.
