This study aimed to identify the role of schools in developing ethical values associated with the use of artificial intelligence among female secondary school students in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Governorate. It also examined whether there were statistically significant differences in the participants’ responses according to grade level and educational track. The study adopted the descriptive survey approach and used a questionnaire as the data collection instrument. The study sample consisted of 405 female secondary school students in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Governorate. The questionnaire consisted of one dimension that examined the role of schools in developing ethical values associated with the use of artificial intelligence. The findings indicated that the role of schools in developing ethical values associated with the use of artificial intelligence was at a moderate level, with a mean score of 3.07 and a standard deviation of 0.76. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the participants’ responses attributable to grade level or educational track. The study recommended strengthening the role of schools in developing ethical values associated with the use of artificial intelligence by integrating AI ethics concepts into school curricula and educational activities, organizing awareness programs and workshops for female students, training teachers in the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence applications, establishing clear school policies and procedures regulating their use, and strengthening partnerships between schools and families in this area.
